I bought this knife when it was first introduced and it has stayed sharper than regularly sharpened knives. I've gifted a few as well, it makes a good gift to avid cooks that don't want to fret over a knife too much. Mine was recently chipped, so I think I need to buy a whetstone. My next knife will likely be a harder steel.

Im a cook from Reading Pa. and me and my fellow cooks took a trip to visit the knife mecca know as Korin. There was such a great selection of wonderful knives to drool over. The staff was so helpful and guided me towards the Togiharu EA chef knife. I was looking for something of good value and quality at the same time. This knife has all of that. I look forward to my next purchase very soon as this could become a very bad but good habit.
