A great stone for a good price. it's a pretty hefty stone, that seems to wear very slowly. great for japanese or german knives that you want a shiny edge on. as with any new stone it takes some time to get used to the abrasive patterns.
not quite as much of mirror polish on the edge of my misono UX10 Gyuto like when it was new, but still get's it pretty chrome like.
consistent shape and polishing texture makes it pretty easy to get a super sharp edge fast.
it took about 2 strokes on each side of my Wusthof meat cleaver to bring it's edge to bright and shiny(just testing the stone out for run).
